Stafford Capital Partners receives $150m from NPS

The South Korean public pension has backed a secondaries vehicle.

National Pension Service of Korea (NPS) has agreed to commit $150 million to Stafford International Timberland Fund IX, which is managed by Stafford Capital Partners. By investing into the fund, NPS will get exposure to a diverse global timberland portfolio acquired mainly through secondaries strategy.

As illustrated below, this is the first time for the Korean pension to invest in a secondaries fund.
