Evercore has hired a Secondaries Investor Young Gun from Park Hill to work in its Chicago office.

Advisory professional Tyler Zittergruen will join Evercore in the summer as a vice-president, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Zittergruen joined Park Hill, at the time part of Blackstone, in 2011. He was ranked 12th in the Young Guns of Secondaries list of the most impressive industry professionals younger than 36 last year. He was noted for his “superior relationship-building skills”. It is understood Zittergruen focused on LP portfolio sales at Park Hill.

He is the second Park Hill professional Evercore has hired in the last 12 months: in July Ryan Rohloff joined Evercore’s New York office as a vice-president, as Secondaries Investor reported.

Evercore and Park Hill accounted for around one-third of last year’s roughly $58 billion in deal volume, according to Secondaries Investor‘s annual advisory firm survey. Evercore worked on $10.1 billion across 42 deals and Park Hill advised on $8 billion across 25 transactions.

It is understood that Evercore has around 35 professionals working on secondaries within its private capital advisory group.

Evercore and Park Hill declined to comment.
