Campbell Lutyens promotes two secondaries execs to partner

Ben Pearce and David Perrin played key roles in developing the firm's secondaries capabilities in Europe and the US respectively.

Campbell Lutyens has named two secondaries executives as partner amid a raft of promotions at the advisory firm and placement agent.

Ben Pearce, who had been with the firm for 12 years, was promoted after having played a “key role” in developing the firm’s secondaries capabilities and origination in Europe from its London office, according to a statement. Pearce also led the execution of some of its largest private equity mandates.

He is joined by David Perrin, who helped establish the firm’s secondaries practice in the US and has managed the origination and execution several secondaries mandates for its clients. Perrin was hired in 2009 and relocated to New York in 2016.

Campbell Lutyens also promoted Rishi Chhabria and Greg Wiener to partner for helping develop the firm’s distribution capabilities in New York and Los Angeles respectively.

Ashrith Ramachandran, who has spent five years working on secondaries advisory transactions, including the restructuring of infrastructure manager DIF’s second flagship fund, was promoted to principal in London. So was Bashak-Julianna Demir, who focuses on the execution and advisory of placement mandates.

Pearce and Ramachandran were named Young Guns of Secondaries by Secondaries Investor in 2016 and 2018 respectively.

Campbell Lutyens is working with French authorities to opening a new office in Paris due to the UK’s impending exit from the EU, Secondaries Investor reported in February.
