Triago Americas secondary market execution head passes away

Marc Fitorre, who had worked at UBS, Evercore and Cebile Capital, died on 13 September.

Marc Fitorre, a more than decade-long veteran of the secondaries industry and executive at Triago, has passed away. He was 33 years old.

Fitorre joined the Paris-headquartered advisory firm and placement agent in July as a principal to lead its secondary market execution group in the Americas. Earlier in his career, he was one of the first three team members to found Evercore’s private capital advisory unit in 2013, according to Triago’s website.

A spokesman for Triago confirmed Fitorre’s death to Secondaries Investor and declined to comment further.

Fitorre was mainly involved in the execution of complex and strategic LP and GP-led transactions, according to Triago’s website. Prior to joining Triago he spent one year and eight months at advisory firm and placement agent Cebile Capital, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“He was a really good guy, energetic and hard-working,” said an industry veteran who has worked with him.

On Thursday, Triago said it had hired Valerie Auffray, previously head of investor relations at Apposite Capital, to be responsible for UK operations in London, and that it had appointed Matt Swain and Victor Quiroga in New York as co-heads of the Americas.

The wake is on Wednesday 22 September from 3pm to 8pm ET at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home on 1076 Madison Avenue, New York City. The funeral mass will be at St Patrick’s Cathedral on Thursday 23 September, from 10.30am to 11.30am.
