StepStone seeks to boost PE and RE secondaries teams

The global investment firm is seeking to fill at least six positions related to its secondaries operations across its US and Asia offices.

StepStone is seeking to expand its secondaries team with hires across its private equity and real estate staff.

In its real estate investment team, the firm is searching for a senior associate based in New York and an associate in San Francisco, according to its website. The role involves underwriting and executing new real estate investment opportunities and requires more than four years of experience in that area. The firm is also seeking an investment analyst in its San Francisco office within the same team.

StepStone Real Estate is the firm’s business that provides liquidity solutions to private real estate vehicles and investors through management-led recapitalisations and secondaries purchases.

In private equity, StepStone is seeking two research associates and an analyst in its Beijing, New York and La Jolla offices. The Beijing associate role involves supporting the team in all related investment initiatives including primary fund investments, secondaries, and co-investments throughout Asia, while the La Jolla position involves focusing on distressed and restructuring funds, small and mid-market buyouts, as well as venture capital and growth equity funds.

In New York, the analyst will research various areas of the private equity industry and target and perform due diligence on private equity fund managers, according to the job description.

Stepstone operates 11 offices worldwide and oversees about $14 billion in assets under management.
