Sixpoint expands secondaries team – exclusive

The New York-based investment bank hired Shawn Schestag from Credit Suisse to focus on secondaries and co-investments.

Sixpoint Partners has hired Shawn Schestag as head of secondaries advisory and co-investment managing director, a newly created position, according to a spokesman for the firm.

Schestag will focus on origination, due diligence and transaction execution and starts as a managing director this week. The New York-based investment bank’s team now comprises 16 professionals across four offices in North America and Asia.

Schestag joins from Credit Suisse where he served in the firm’s private fund group as a senior member in the secondaries advisory practice. At Credit Suisse, he executed a range of secondaries transactions on behalf of institutional investors and private investment firms. Schestag began at Credit Suisse in the bank’s financial sponsors group, executing debt and equity financing deals, and financial advisory assignments on behalf of large and mid-market private equity firms.

The addition of Schestag strengthens Sixpoint’s secondaries and private placement capabilities and is part of its global strategic expansion, according to the spokesman.

Sixpoint focuses on primary fund placement, secondaries advisory and co-investments, according to its website.
