Siguler Guff promotes Cusano to MD

Siguler Guff has promoted Tony Cusano from principal to managing director, according to Cusano’s LinkedIn profile.

Cusano also serves as Siguler Guff’s head of secondaries, responsible for sourcing and executing secondaries investments with a focus on the Distressed Opportunities Funds, according to the firm’s website. He joined the firm’s New York office in 2010 as an associate.

Previously Cusano was an associate in the StepStone Group’s San Diego office, where he was a member of the research team and analysed distressed debt and special situations opportunities.

Siguler Guff has raised four Distressed Opportunities Funds to date – the most recent being Fund IV which launched in 2010 and raised $1.3 billion. The funds invest in securities of companies undergoing financial distress or in need of restructuring, the firm’s website said.
