Proskauer hires Bertrand-Delfau as partner

The global law firm has hired the secondaries deals expert to expand its advisory capacity.

Law firm Proskauer has hired Bruno Bertrand-Delfau, a corporate attorney with expertise in secondaries transactions, as a partner in its London office, according to a statement.

Bertrand-Delfau joins from law firm Baker & McKenzie where he was co-head of the firm’s private equity practice group for Europe, the Middle East and Asia and advised private equity funds and sovereign wealth funds on private equity deals, according to the firm’s website.

At Proskauer, he joins the private investment funds team and will allow the firm to expand on its secondaries advisory capacity by advising clients, including Ardian.

“Bruno’s wealth of knowledge will enable us to capitalise further on the active secondary market and complement our services to private equity clients on both the funds and transaction sides,” Joseph Leccese, chairman of Proskauer, said in a statement.

Bertrand-Delfau has experience working on many landmark deals including primary and secondaries transactions, according to the statement.

Proskauer is a global law firm with offices in 13 locations. Its private investment funds group advises on areas including governance and securities regulation, and corporate finance. Since 2012, the group has advised clients in closing more than 340 funds with more than $80 billion in committed capital.
