Pomona promotes two to partner

The fund of funds manager has promoted two senior investment professionals who focus on secondaries, amid a total of seven promotions at the firm.

Pomona Capital has promoted two investment professionals who focus on secondaries to partner, according to a statement.

The fund of funds manager promoted Sebastien Bowen in London and Ryan Levitt in New York.

Bowen focuses on secondaries investment analysis and deal sourcing in Europe and has more than 15 years of primary and secondaries fund investing experience. He joined the firm in 2010.

Levitt focuses on portfolio construction, investment analysis and deal sourcing for the firm’s secondaries fund of funds, primary fund of funds and co-investments. He joined Pomona in 2007 and has 13 years of private equity experience. Levitt also manages Pomona Investment Fund, the firm’s registered private equity vehicle.

“Sebastien and Ryan have demonstrated the experience, energy, integrity and commitment important to Pomona Capital and its investors,” Michael Granoff, chief executive at Pomona, said in the statement. “We are thrilled to have them join the partner team and are confident they will make a significant contribution to the success of the firm going forward.”

The firm also promoted two other professionals, Sean Judge and May Gando, to senior associate, plus two accounting managers and one senior analyst.

Pomona employs 40 professionals in its New York, London and Hong Kong offices, according to its website. The firm had $8.1 billion in aggregate capital commitments on 1 December.
