Today PEI Media Group, the publisher of this website, has launched New Private Markets, a digital news and insight service that focuses on sustainability, ESG and impact investing in private markets.

New Private Markets will cover sustainability in private capital investment across the asset classes of private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, private real estate, private debt, agriculture and private fund secondaries. A dedicated team of journalists will provide insight into the flow of institutional capital to managers investing across the spectrum of sustainability, from ESG to impact.

New Private Markets joins a stable of 12 other publications produced by PEI Media, which between them deliver global coverage of private markets. Through its existing brands the company has produced ground-breaking coverage of responsible investment and impact investing, and hosted events focused on these topics, for more than a decade.

Philip Borel, group editorial director of PEI Media, said: “We have tracked the evolution of private markets from the financial engineering era though to the age of operational value creation. We view sustainability as the next wave of private markets development, in which savvy investors recognise the weight of institutional capital flowing towards credibly sustainable investment strategies.”

Toby Mitchenall, senior editor, sustainability and ESG, and editor of New Private Markets, said: “It’s a privilege to be leading a new publication into the most exciting area of capital markets today. It feels like we are still in the early stages of development of a sustainable investment mega-trend in private markets. The market is going to develop in interesting and unexpected ways, and we intend to track and make sense of these developments and help subscribers make better informed decisions.”
