In addition, he will work closely with the editorial teams servicing the company’s information brands covering other private market verticals including PERE, Infrastructure Investor and Private Debt Investor. He will also support and partner with colleagues in adjacent divisions such as product development, conferences, sales and marketing.

Prior to joining PEI, Melville held the position of group editorial director, banking and capital markets at Arizent (formerly SourceMedia). In this role, he managed a team of over 50 journalists and set and executed the content strategy for Arizent’s subscription-based B2B titles American Banker, The Bond Buyer, Mergers & Acquisitions, National Mortgage News, PaymentSource, Asset Securitization Report and Credit Union Journal.

Borel said: “We’re delighted to bring Rich into the team to lead our content activities in North America. He’s an enormously accomplished editorial operator, and his presence and leadership will add great strength to our coverage and commercial teams. We hugely look forward to working with him, and to jointly building on the reach and impact of our products and brands as we continue to improve our coverage of our industries, and to increase publishing value for our readership globally.”

Melville commented: “PEI has a powerful content portfolio and a well-earned reputation for delivering mission-critical information to a sophisticated audience. I’m extremely excited to join the editorial team and look forward to working with colleagues on advancing that mission across all the company’s channels and platforms.”

Colm Gilmore, managing director US at PEI Media, commented: “This is a great step forward for PEI’s already impressive editorial offering in the US. Rich’s deep B2B editorial experience, commercial acumen and talent for people development will be tremendously additive to our global team of journalists dedicated to alternative assets.”
