PEFOX hires ex-Pantheon secondaries man

Matthieu Ducharme has joined the nascent London Private Equity Futures and Options Exchange.

Matthieu Ducharme has been named a partner of the London Private Equity Futures and Options Exchange (PEFOX), a platform that launched in June to allow investors a synthetic means for taking long and short positions on private equity funds.

Ducharme was previously a senior associate on Pantheon Ventures’ secondary team, which he joined in 2005. He specialised in sourcing French transactions. Ducharme has also worked for Société Générale Asset Management.

“His background and deep knowledge of the secondaries market, particularly in Europe, will broaden our reach and capabilities in many important ways”, said PEFOX chief executive Kishore Kansal.

PEFOX is chaired by Ray Maxwell, former managing director of INVESCO Private Capital. Its advisory board members include Andre Jaeggi, former partner and co-founder at Swiss fund of funds and advisor Adveq.
