Paul Capital appoints head of Hong Kong office

The private equity secondaries firm has hired a chief of its Hong Kong office which opened in August 2007.

US secondaries and fund of funds firm Paul Capital Partners has bolstered both its Asian team as well at its sourcing network.

Lucian Wu has been appointed as a managing director and head of Paul Capital’s Hong Kong office. Wu is responsible for managing all of the firm’s secondary investment activities throughout Asia.

The firm’s Hong Kong office was opened in August 2007 by Jason Sambanju, who joined the firm as a principal at the same time.

Prior to joining Paul Capital, Wu was a partner in Asia at Henderson Private Capital, the private equity arm of investment firm Henderson Global Investors. He was also a founding member of private equity firm Electra Partners Asia.

Paul Capital maintains offices in New York, San Francisco, London, Paris Toronto, Hong Kong and Sao Paolo.

Paul Capital manages approximately $6.6 billion (€4.3 billion) in commitments across three investment platforms: private equity secondaries, healthcare royalty and revenue interests and venture funds of funds. The firm has been in the secondary private equity market for more than fifteen years.
