Partners to boost Americas RE secondaries team

The global investment firm is seeking three secondaries professionals, including an investment manager, for its new Americas headquarters.

Partners Group is looking to make real estate secondaries hires in its new Denver office.

The global investment firm is seeking an investment manager who will be responsible for sourcing, executing and monitoring private real estate secondaries deals, including acquiring fund stakes and direct assets, according to a job description on the firm’s website. The role also involves co-ordinating a team of professionals in the Americas.

Partners requires five to seven years of relevant work experience for the position, and the successful candidate will receive carried interest as part of the compensation package.

The firm is also seeking two analysts who will focus on Americas real estate secondaries from Denver. Candidates require a bachelor degree with an emphasis on business administration, finance, economics or real estate, as well as one to two years of experience at an investment bank, real estate investment trust or private investment firm, according to the job description.

The three positions are newly created ones, a spokeswoman for Partners confirmed.

Partners plans to open its new Americas headquarters in Colorado’s capital this May and said it would gradually relocate its San Francisco staff there. In the Americas, Partners currently has offices in San Francisco, New York, Houston and São Paulo, with 150 employees, according to a statement.

The firm is investing out of its $1.1 billion Partners Group Global Real Estate 2014 fund, which was already 50 percent committed when it held a final close last December. The vehicle makes direct, secondaries and primary real estate investments.
