Park Hill poaches Capital Dynamics director

Former Capital Dynamics director Sandro Galfetti has become a principal in Park Hill's secondaries advisory business.

Park Hill Group has hired former Capital Dynamics director Sandro Galfetti, according to a statement.

Galfetti joined the London office as a principal in the secondaries advisory business on 24 November. He will focus directly on liquidity, structuring and raising capital.

“Park Hill has one of the best and broadest networks. I am excited to be part of a group that is making a strong contribution to the industry,” Galfetti said in the statement.

Previously, Galfetti spent five years at Capital Dynamics, working as director for the secondary investment team and vice president for the structured solutions group, according to his LinkedIn profile.

It is unclear who will replace Galfetti at Capital Dynamics and the firm did not return a request for comment by press time.

Galfetti has also worked as a structured credit underwriter at Swiss Re Financial Services in London and Zurich.

Park Hill is in the process of spinning out from its parent company The Blackstone Group. The firm will be combined with PJT Partners, which was founded by former Morgan Stanley executive Paul Taubman. PJT partners and employees will own 35 percent of Park Hill, while Blackstone shareholders will retain a 65 percent stake. The deal is expected to close during the first half of 2015.

Park Hill has recently advised on the restructuring of Diamond Castle Holdings’ Fund IV and CPPIB’s $1.3 billion restructuring of JW Childs’ Fund III.
