Pantheon, a global private equity firm, has promoted a total of 31 professionals worldwide including at least 10 who have worked on secondaries.
The firm has appointed three new partners including Ralph Guenther, who works in the firm’s European client services team in London and focuses on Germany, Austria and Switzerland, according to a statement from the firm.
Guenther works on secondaries deal sourcing for private equity and infrastructure, including limited partnership interests and portfolios of direct investments, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Nine other investment professionals were also promoted, including five to principal, four to vice-president and four across associate and senior associate positions. A spokeswoman for Pantheon in London told Secondaries Investor that while none of these promotions were specifically within Pantheon’s secondaries team, each of the professionals was likely to have worked on secondaries transactions deals.
The two other professionals promoted to partner focus on primary investments and risk management, and the firm also promoted 15 others to senior functional positions across other teams, according to the statement.
Pantheon had committed $9 billion to secondaries deals as of 30 June, according to its website. The firm has $33 billion in assets under management and has offices in Hong Kong, San Francisco, New York, Botogá and Seoul in addition to its London headquarters.
