Meketa hires former Greenpark CIO

Daniel Green, a veteran secondaries investor, has taken on a broader remit that will cover primaries and secondaries across various private markets.

Meketa Investment Group, a private markets-focused investment consultant, has bolstered its London office with the hire of the former chief investment officer for secondaries firm Greenpark Capital.

Daniel Green, who joins as a senior director, spent nearly 13 years at Greenpark and left in 2013 following the firm’s acquisition by StepStone. He subsequently established his own firm, Gorst Capital, and spent two years working with institutional investors on private equity secondaries transactions.

Boston-headquartered Meketa – established by former Harvard Management Company veteran James Meketa in 1978 – has five offices across the US and opened a London presence in 2014. The firm advises 140 institutional clients across private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure and natural resources investments.

At Meketa, Green joins two others in the London office, where he will focus on both primary fund investments and secondaries opportunities across private equity and real asset investment opportunities in the EMEA region, as well as business development for the firm in Europe.
