Kline Hill seeks secondaries associate

The firm, launched by ex-Willowridge partner Michael Bego, is seeking a secondaries associate to focus on venture capital, leveraged buyout and mezzanine funds.

Kline Hill Partners, the secondaries firm launched by Michael Bego, a former partner at Willowridge Partners, is looking to hire a secondaries investment associate to focus on venture capital, leveraged buyout and mezzanine funds, according to a job posting.

The associate will work with the secondaries private equity investment team to conduct due diligence on private equity funds and managers as well as assess investment opportunities, according to a job posting on SecondaryLink.

The main duties of the role include analysing portfolio companies and the fund’s exit options and valuing equity ownership in private equity-backed companies and fund waterfall scenarios.

Kline Hill requires one to three years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, investment management or strategy consulting, according to the description.

Bego launched Kline Hill last year and is seeking $120 million for the firm’s debut fund, with a $180 million hard-cap, he told Secondaries Investor in November. Jared Barlow, a senior vice-president at Partners Group between 2006 and 2012, has also joined the firm as a partner.

The Greenwich, Connecticut-based firm focuses on the small end of the secondaries market and purchases stakes in leveraged buyout and venture capital funds as well as direct secondaries deals in private equity and VC-backed companies, according to the description.
