Jasmin Capital promotes its head of secondaries to partner

Morel took the helm of the secondaries business following the departure of Ludovic Douge to DC Advisory.

Jasmin Capital’s head of secondaries has been promoted to its partnership.

Gilles Morel has been promoted to partner alongside Vincent Goupil, who heads up the France-headquartered placement agent’s fund placement business, according to a statement.

Morel joined Jasmin last year from French bank Natixis, where he had spent eight years in equity capital markets. He began his career at ODDO BHF in its corporate finance and equity capital markets departments.

Morel was promoted to head of secondaries in January. At that time, Jasmin’s Ludovic Douge, who previously headed up the business, was set to join DC Advisory – the investment banking arm of Japanese financial services conglomerate Daiwa Securities Group, Secondaries Investor reported.

Jasmin advises on around 15 LP-led and GP-led transactions a year across private equity, infrastructure and private debt, according to its website. Its mandates involve companies with valuations between a few million euros and several hundred million euros.
