DC Advisory taps Jasmin Capital secondaries head as it bulks up

Paris-based Jasmin has promoted one of its managing directors to fulfil the role.

The investment banking arm of Japanese financial services conglomerate Daiwa Securities Group has hired the head of secondaries at a European advisory firm as it builds up its offering.

Ludovic Douge is set to join DC Advisory in roughly a month, he confirmed to Secondaries Investor. His appointment comes five months after Secondaries Investor reported that the mid-market-focused advisory unit had hired Michael Wieczorek from Elm Capital to advise on GP-led deals, based in London.

Douge, who is France-based, has been head of secondaries since 2016 and a partner at Jasmin since 2021, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to Jasmin, he was a director at Stream Capital in Geneva, which focuses on private equity and infrastructure secondaries market advisory and third-party placement of alternative investment funds.

Separately, Jasmin on Wednesday said it had promoted Gilles Morel to head of secondaries. Morel joined the firm from French bank Natixis last August where he had spent eight years in equity capital markets, and was at ODDO BHF prior to that.

DC Advisory mainly offers sell-side M&A services in the mid-markets of the US, Europe and Asia, Secondaries Investor reported last year. It has in recent years expanded into raising private capital for founders and sponsors, and advising them on GP stakes transactions.
