Intermediate Capital Group has hired a second Pomona Capital alumnus to manage its listed private equity business.

The London-headquartered alternatives manager has appointed Ryan Levitt as a managing director charged with building its North America private equity funds investments team, according to a statement seen by sister publication Private Equity International. He will work with head of private equity funds investments Oliver Gardey and managing director and portfolio manager Colm Walsh, the statement noted. The private equity funds investments team manages the £811 million ($1 billion; €944 million) London-listed ICG Enterprise Trust.

Gardey joined ICG as head of the trust in July, having been Pomona’s head of European operations, as reported by sister title Secondaries Investor. He replaced Emma Osborne, who is moving to a senior advisory role.

“The private equity secondaries and co-investment market is enjoying strong growth and we see significant opportunities to extend our exposure to this market,” Gardey said in the statement. “Appointing Ryan was a logical step given he and I successfully worked many years together at Pomona Capital.”

Levitt was previously managing director at Drum Capital Management, a lower mid-market private equity firm, where he was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing primary, secondaries and co-investment deals. Prior to that he spent 11 years with Pomona Capital, where he ended up as partner.

He was ranked fourth in Secondaries Investor‘s Young Guns of Secondaries Class of 2016.
