Hycroft, a speciality investment bank, has hired a former Cogent and Stanwich Advisors secondaries professional to focus on general partner solutions and restructurings.
Brad Critchell joined the firm in May as a managing director in its New York headquarters, according to a statement.
Critchell joined from Stanwich where he spent four years and had led the firm’s secondaries advisory practice. Prior to that, he was a director at Cogent Partners.
“Brad has extensive experience and is one of the nation’s leading specialists in general partner solutions and restructurings, which are becoming a prominent part of the global secondary market and a growth area for Hycroft,” Scott Myers, Hycroft chairman and chief executive, said.
Hycroft was set up by Myers, a founding member of Cogent Partners, which was acquired by Greenhill last year. The investment bank now has five professionals focusing on secondaries, according to a spokesman.
The firm has advised on over $75 billion in limited partnership secondaries deals and has offices in San Francisco, Dallas and London.
