HQ Capital hires business development director

Amy Thiessen, who has real estate experience, joins the firm to focus on raising capital and developing strategic partnerships.

HQ Capital has appointed a head of business development for North America as the firm continues to deploy its two dedicated secondaries funds.

Amy Thiessen joins the New York-headquartered firm as a director, according to a statement. She will raise capital and develop strategic partnerships.

Thiessen was previously a principal at Park Madison Partners where she raised capital for global real estate private equity. She has prior experience at FocusPoint Private Capital Group ad as real estate firms DTZ and AEW Europe.

HQ Capital collected $250 million for Auda Asia Secondary Fund in April, beating its $200 million target, according to PEI data. The firm’s fourth flagship secondaries fund, Auda Secondary Fund IV, closed on $503 million in May, ahead of its $450 million target.
