Headway Capital bolsters IR team

Amelia Offer previously spent nine years at events business Informa Connect, where she had most recently served as editor-in-chief of industry conference SuperInvestor.

Headway Capital Partners has appointed an investor relations manager in its London headquarters.

Amelia Offer will spearhead the secondaries firm’s investor relations as it looks to build market presence, according to a statement.

Offer previously spent nine years at events business Informa Connect, where she had most recently served as editor-in-chief of industry conference SuperInvestor, according to her LinkedIn profile.

“We are delighted to welcome Amelia to Headway,” partner Sebastian Junoy said in the statement. “Her experience and broad network within the private equity industry will help us strengthen our investor relations function.”

The firm is deploying its 2018-vintage Headway Investment Partners IV, which held a final close on its €372 million hard-cap in October. The fund had made 10 of its 30 intended investments at the time of the close, Secondaries Investor reported. It invests primarily in GP-led fund restructurings, direct secondaries and preferred equity deals in Europe and North America.

Notable deals from HIP IV include the restructuring of 2014-vintage Spanish buyout fund Al Andalus Capital and the extension of structured financing to help small-cap private equity firm Founders Equity buy a stake in a medical billing company, Secondaries Investor has reported.

Headway oversees €900 million of assets under management, according to Secondaries Investor data. It employs 16 staff in London and Concord, Massachusetts.

The firm was founded in 2004 by former Coller Capital investment professionals Junoy, Christiaan de Lint and Laura Shen Lefranc.
