Dan Townsend, who spent nine years at San Francisco-based Top Tier where he led its secondaries and co-investments team, has joined the firm as a partner, according to New 2nd Capital’s website. Townsend, who joined in October, is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and structuring midmarket secondaries deals.

New 2nd Capital has also hired two principals: Clay Cole, who previously spent three years on AlpInvest’s secondaries team, and Victor Ko, who spent three years at HarbourVest Partners on its secondaries team. Ko is based in Seoul and focuses on North American midmarket deals, according to the firm’s website.

The hires join Jordan Bradley, a partner who joined in July after six months of gardening leave from AlpInvest in New York, as Secondaries Investor reported.

New York-based New 2nd Capital focuses on GP-centred transactions including spin-outs, stapled deals and GP-led restructurings and invests between $10 million and $250 million across buyout, growth capital and infrastructure.

Hektor launched the firm this year after spending 15 years at AlpInvest.
