HarbourVest hires former CVC exec for Middle East push

The fund of funds manager has appointed a 14-year CVC veteran to its client and consultant relations team in London.

HarbourVest Partners has hired a former CVC Capital Partners managing director to focus on investor relations in the Middle East, three months after the firm opened its first office in the region in Tel Aviv.

Janish Patel, who will also work with investors and consultants in the UK, joined the global fund of funds’ London office as a principal on its client and consultant relations team, according to HarbourVest’s website. Patel joined from buyout firm CVC where he spent 14 years on the investor relations team responsible for Middle East and Europe investors.

Patel has also worked at CDC Capital Partners and Cazenove Fund Management. HarbourVest has three other professionals in its London client relations team, according to its website.

A spokesman for the firm did not immediately return requests for comment.

HarbourVest has $39 billion in assets under management, according to its website.
