Hamilton Lane hires ex-Pantheon VP

The appointment comes one month after the firm's EMEA secondaries head Richard Hope became regional head across all strategies.

Hamilton Lane has hired a principal in its London-based secondaries team.

Raj Chall joined the investment manager in February as a principal, according to his LinkedIn profile. He comes from four years at Kedge Capital, where he was a private equity portfolio manager.

Prior to joining the Jersey-headquartered family office, Chall spent more than seven years in Pantheon’s European investment team, where he was a vice-president.

In January, Hamilton Lane’s EMEA secondaries head Richard Hope became regional head across all strategies, replacing Jim Strang, who took the newly created role of EMEA chairman, Secondaries Investor reported.

The Bala Cynwyd-headquartered firm is in market with its fifth flagship secondaries fund targeting $3 billion, Secondaries Investor reported in 2018. It had raised $1.1 billion as of last November and had attracted commitments from investors including Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho, Secondaries Investor data show.
