Greenspring Associates, a venture capital-focused secondaries firm, has promoted Hunter Somerville to partner.

The Baltimore-based firm, which acquires in limited partnership interests in venture capital funds as well as in growth stage companies, mainly on a secondaries basis, is investing Greenspring Secondaries Fund II, a $200 million vehicle it closed on its hard-cap last June.
Somerville is responsible for the sourcing and due diligence on funds, direct and secondary opportunities. He joined Greenspring from Camden Private Capital.
Greenspring’s second fund is the successor to a $100 million fund closed in summer 2014.
