There are currently at least 35 private equity secondaries funds in market or coming to market in the near-term, with an aggregate target of $26.11 billion, according to PEI’s Research and Analytics division.
At least ten new funds were raised or announced in May, according to PEI data, totalling $10.79 billion in targets. This accounts for just over 40 percent of the total funds in market by value.
In Europe, Pollen Street Capital is looking for £300 million for its SOF Annex Fund, and Mantra was targeting €50 million for its Mantra Secondaries Opportunity Fund.
Ardian’s $9 billion Secondary Fund VII accounted for the bulk of the May figure.
