Landmark Partners has hired former AlpInvest professional EmilyJane Finigan as vice-president in its New York office, a source familiar with the matter told Secondaries Investor.

Finigan joined the firm at the start of the year, to focus on business development and marketing, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Finigan and Landmark did not return requests for comment by press time.

Finigan was previously head of marketing and communications at AlpInvest, the fund of funds arm of The Carlyle Group. She joined the firm in May 2013 and was responsible for global branding and marketing for the firm’s solutions group, which includes AlpInvest and Metropolitan Real Estate. She left the firm in August, Secondaries Investor reported.

Finigan also spent five years working on strategic marketing in North America as a senior associate at Coller Capital. She began her career in the global capital markets group at Bank of New York Mellon, her LinkedIn profile showed.

Finigan‘s appointment comes as Landmark finishes fundraising for its seventh real estate secondaries fund. The fund launched in 2014 with a $1 billion target. It was expected to close in the next few months and is thought to be oversubscribed, a source familiar with the matter told Secondaries Investor in November.

The firm is also in market with its latest private equity secondaries fund, Landmark Equity Partners XV. The fund is targeting $2.5 billion and was nearing a $3.25 billion close in October, Secondaries Investor exclusively reported.
