Coller Capital promotes two London-based professionals to partner

The firm has also made up two to principal in a 36-strong promotion round.

Coller Capital has elevated two of its investment professionals to partner-level in a raft of 36 promotions across the firm.

London-based Iyobosa Adeghe and Katrina Liao, who are both on Coller’s investment team, have been tapped for partnership.

Adeghe joined the firm in 2012. Prior to joining, he was a private equity associate at Fleming Family & Partners and was an associate at KPMG Transaction Services.

Liao joined Coller Capital in 2011 within its investor relations team before moving across to its investment team in 2013. She held previous roles at media-focused private equity firm InterMedia Partners and Ernst & Young Financial Services.

Other senior appointments include the promotion of two principals. Hong Kong-based Kevin Jun takes up the post within the investment team and London-based Eli Bauernfreund has been promoted within the investor relations team.

Last year, Secondaries Investor reported that founder and chief investment officer Jeremy Coller was to cede 25 percent of equity in the firm to the firm’s partners, marking a change to its ownership structure for the first time in its more than three decade-long history.

This month’s promotions bring the number of partners at the firm to 31.

While secondaries fundraising has been strong, with buyers generally well-capitalised, buoyant secondaries activity that was expected in the second half of 2022 would be “sufficient to absorb most of the current stock of ‘dry powder’”, Jeremy Coller noted in the firm’s latest annual report.
