Chene has over a decade of private equity experience, including in direct secondaries deals, and joins the firm’s global secondaries team, bringing the total staff on the team to six. Prior to his new position, Chene worked on European direct secondary deals at French low-to-mid-market firm Fondinvest Capital, according to a spokesperson for Capital Dynamics.

“We are thrilled to have Yvan joining us, bringing his secondaries deal expertise focusing on European middle market buyouts to complement our global Secondaries team,” Joseph Marks, head of secondaries in investment management at Capital Dynamics, told Secondaries Investor via email.

Earlier this week, the firm announced it had replaced its CEO with an expanded executive committee as part of the restructuring. CEO Stefan Ammann and chief operating officer of private equity Gila Cohen will leave the firm, Secondaries Investor’s sister publication Private Equity International reported. The firm has selected Martin Hahn, head of business development, to be the president of the executive committee, which has expanded from five members to nine.

Along with the restructure, Capital Dynamics has hired Simon Eaves from the infrastructure investment team at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority as managing director and head of Europe in its clean energy and infrastructure team.

Formed in 1988, Capital Dynamics has $19 billion in assets under management and operates from 13 offices globally. As of April this year the firm had raised $150 million for its Capital Dynamics Global Secondaries IV fund which targets $350 million.
