Campbell Lutyens hires OTPP veteran

Wayne Kozun's appointment to the firm's advisory board comes amid a hiring spree at the advisory firm and placement agent.

Campbell Lutyens has added a veteran of Canada’s third-largest public pension plan to its advisory board as the placement agent and secondaries firm continues its hiring spree.

Wayne Kozun joins from Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and will be based in Toronto, according to a statement. Kozun, who joined the pension in 1995, was most recently a senior vice-president focusing on public equities and managed the public equities portfolio.

He had previously spent three years in OTPP’s fixed income and alternatives investments unit and has been responsible for relationship investing team as well as its direct long-term private equity investing team.

Kozun was also responsible for opening its Hong Kong office and has co-chaired OTPP’s responsible investment committee.

“Wayne’s experience will help us to deepen our understanding of the institutional market in North America as we further expand our US business,” Andrew Sealey, Campbell Lutyens’ chief executive.

The appointment comes two weeks after the firm’s announcement of Gordon Bajnai, the former Prime Minister of Hungary, as chairman of Campbell Lutyens’ global advisory board.

In April Campbell Lutyens hired three professionals on its global secondaries team bringing its secondaries headcount to 27, as Secondaries Investor reported.

Campbell Lutyens has a team of more than 100 across offices in London, New York and Hong Kong.
