BEX Capital brings partner count to six with latest promotion

Youssef Kameche's promotion brings the number of partners at the niche secondaries firm to six.

BEX Capital, a niche secondaries firm, has added another partner to its ranks via a promotion.

Youssef Kameche, who joined the Nice-headquartered boutique buyer in 2018, was promoted to the partnership and also becomes a member of its investment committee.

His promotion brings the number of partners at BEX Capital to six.

Alongside his current investment activities, Kameche will also work on the integration and management of BEX Capital’s investment team, which doubled in size last year.

Kameche was previously at Natixis where he led secondaries distribution in its loan portfolio management division.

His promotion follows the elevation of colleagues Thomas Carbonel and Alexis Ferrer to senior partner last year. The firm also hired four investment professionals, including vice-president Victor Versmee, who joined from Omnes Capital, where he worked on originating and executing buyout deals.

BEX Capital is focused on buying limited partnership interests in funds of funds, secondaries funds and co-investment funds. The firm held the final close on $765 million for BEX Fund IV in March last year, above its $600 million target and $750 million hard-cap, according to Secondaries Investor data. The 2019-vintage BEX III raised $365 million.

BEX Capital has in excess of $1.3 billion of capital under management, according to the statement.
