Carlyle's fund of funds unit also promoted four other investment professionals across three offices.

AlpInvest Partners, the fund of funds arm of the Carlyle Group, has promoted five investment professionals, including two who focus on secondaries.

Garret Hall, who was promoted to principal in the secondaries team, focuses on US transactions from the firm’s New York office. Hall joined the firm’s secondaries team in 2008 before leaving to complete an MBA and returned in 2012, according to AlpInvest’s website.

AlpInvest also promoted Roberto Torrini to managing director, as well as John Kim and Sid Murdeshwar to principals, all within the firm’s co-investment team.

The promotions come amid 38 other promotions at Carlyle across its corporate private equity, real assets, global market strategies, investment solutions and investor services segments.
