Former AlpInvest exec joins Hektor’s firm – exclusive

Jordan Bradley joins New 2nd Capital as a partner after spending 10 years at the fund of funds, Secondaries Investor has learned.

A long-standing AlpInvest Partners executive has joined New 2nd Capital, the secondaries firm launched by Tjarko Hektor, Secondaries Investor has learned.

Jordan Bradley joined the firm as a partner in July after six months of gardening leave. He is listed as having worked at AlpInvest’s parent company The Carlyle Group until January, according to his LinkedIn.

New 2nd Capital focuses on GP-centered transactions, including spin-outs, staple transactions and GP-led restructurings, Secondaries Investor reported in June. The firm invests in deals between $10 million and $250 million across buyout, growth capital and infrastructure, according to its website.

Hektor launched the firm earlier this year after spending 15 years at AlpInvest.

At AlpInvest, Bradley was a principal in the fund investments team where he focused on sourcing, evaluating and executing North American deals. He joined the fund of funds in 2006 from UBS, according to his LinkedIn.

Hektor declined to comment.
