Orcun Unlu, an experienced secondaries participant who has represented Citi on fund stakes sales, joined UBS in April as a director within its private funds group, according to a source.

Unlu is the latest addition to UBS’ secondaries advisory team after Alec Brown, a director in the New York office, left for Pantheon’s global secondaries group in March, as Secondaries Investor reported.

Unlu advises institutional clients on the sale of fund interests spanning private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real estate and hedge fund positions, as well as management firms on structured solutions and fundraising, according to his LinkedIn profile.

At Citi, he was most recently a senior vice-president who focused on management spin-outs and fund restructurings, in addition to the financial group’s sale of fund interests.

It is understood that UBS has over 20 professionals globally who focus on secondaries within its private funds group.
