Sixpoint bulks up secondaries team

Sixpoint Partners has appointed a vice-president who will focus on secondaries and co-investments.

Richard Siegel joins the advisory firm and placement agent’s capital solutions team and will be responsible for due diligence, execution and origination of secondaries and co-investments, according to a statement.

Siegel was most recently a director in Opus Bank’s private equity group. His prior experience includes there years as an analyst at Strategic Partners when it was part of Credit Suisse as well as Rothschild.

Sixpoint focuses on primary fund placement and advisory, secondaries placement and advisory and co-investment placement in mid-market private equity. Its secondaries advisory team is led by Shawn Schestag, a former executive from Credit Suisse’s private fund group who joined in 2016.

It employs around 25 professionals and has offices in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin and Hong Kong, according to its website.
