Rede makes secondaries partner promotion

The boutique placement agent and adviser has made three promotions to partner across its platform as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Rede Partners has made three top-level promotions, including one in its secondaries team.

The London-headquartered placement agent and adviser has promoted the head of its transactions practice Magnus Goodlad to partner, according to a statement. The team has closed four transactions worth an aggregate €1 billion in recent months. The firm said in the statement that it also has a “record number” of live deals.

“Under [Goodlad’s] leadership, Rede has further entrenched its reputation as a leading GP-led transaction specialist, extending the team’s expertise into a number of innovative new transaction types, including NAV financing facilities and GP equity and credit transactions,” the statement said.

Goodlad joined Rede in January 2020, Secondaries Investor reported. He was previously chief of staff to Lord Rothschild, responsible for the private equity and venture capital programmes of the Rothschild family and its philanthropic organisations. Prior to that he was a partner at Hermes GPE.

Goodlad replaced Yaron Zafir, who became head of secondaries at Asante Capital Group.

Rede’s America coverage lead Alexandra Bazarewski and chief operating officer Bruce Weir were also promoted to partner.

“I am incredibly proud of how the firm has evolved and the role we have played in helping our clients achieve success,” said co-founder Scott Church in the statement. “With an expanding team and increasingly clear lines of specialism, including Impact and Transactions, we have a strong base for continued growth.”

The promotions mark Rede’s 10th anniversary. It has raised aggregate capital of more than €53 billion across its platform over the past 10 years, according to the statement.
