Park Hill hires Coller principal – exclusive

Matthew Wesley, a former corporate lawyer, joins the advisory firm's New York office.

Park Hill has hired a buyside secondaries investment professional to join its advisory team, Secondaries Investor has learned.

New York-based Matthew Wesley joins the firm’s New York office from Coller Capital, where he was most recently a principal, according to two sources familiar with the matter. At Coller, Wesley focused on structuring, negotiation and executing investments, according to an archived version of Coller’s website.

Prior to joining Coller in 2015, he practised as a corporate lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell, where he advised on M&A and private fund transactions.

Wesley’s start date is unclear.

A spokeswoman for Coller confirmed Wesley’s departure and declined to provide further details.

Park Hill has around 27 total staff dedicated to secondaries advisory, Jonathan Costello, the unit’s head, told Secondaries Investor in October. The firm plans to add as many as six professionals over the next 12 months, mainly in North America.

The team is also led by Adrian Millan in New York and Pablo Calo in London.

Buyside to advisory moves include Costello himself, who joined Park Hill from Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners in 2016, and Michael Camacho, a 10-year AlpInvest Partners veteran who joined Rede Partners in June.

Park Hill declined to comment.
