Northleaf adds to Toronto team

The private equity and infrastructure investment firm has hired Michael Bowen to focus on direct secondaries and co-investments.

Northleaf Capital Partners has made a third hire on its private equity team this year by appointing a vice-president in its Toronto headquarters.

Michael Bowman joined the firm in November to focus on originating, evaluating and monitoring direct secondaries and co-investments, according to a statement. He joins from real estate management services firm Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions, where spent a year and a half and was responsible strategic acquisitions and account relationships.

Bowman began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in corporate finance.

Northleaf hired two associates on its private equity team in March and has been bulking up its private credit, infrastructure, and back office operations globally.

Northleaf manages more than $7 billion in commitments and has offices in Menlo Park and London, in addition to its headquarters.
