LGT makes two partner promotions

Pfäffikon-based Martha Heitmann and Hong Kong-based Brooke Zhou were promoted in May, a spokeswoman confirmed.

LGT Capital Partners has promoted two investment professionals in its secondaries team to partner.

The Pfäffikon, Switzerland-headquartered firm promoted Martha Heitmann and Brooke Zhou, a spokeswoman confirmed. Heitmann is based in Pfäffikon while Zhou is based in Hong Kong.

Heitmann was a principal who joined LGT in 2007, according to her LinkedIn profile. Zhou was a managing director and joined LGT in 2010.

LGT is in market with its Crown Secondaries Special Opportunities II fund, according to Secondaries Investor data. The target of the vehicle is undisclosed.

The firm’s latest flagship secondaries fund is its 2016-vintage $2.5 billion Crown Global Secondaries IV. The firm came ninth in the most recent SI 30 ranking of biggest fundraisers, having collected $8.9 billion in the five years to June 2018.

Deals the firm has backed include the spin-out of Dutch bank ABN-AMRO‘s private equity unit in November in which it joined with AlpInvest PartnersRothschild’s Five Arrows Secondary Opportunities and Bregal Investments.
