Lea Lazaric Calvert begins at Evercore

The former UBS exec has started in Evercore's London office, and is one of a number of staff to make the switch.

Lea Lazaric Calvert started at Evercore‘s London team this week in the firm’s private capital advisory business, advising institutional investors and fund sponsors on secondaries transactions.

Now managing director at Evercore, she joined from UBS where she was an executive director working on the fund placement side.

As the boundaries between the primary and secondary markets blur, her placement experience will be an asset for the advisory practice as general partners increasingly see the secondaries market as a fundraising tool.

Lazaric Calvert is the latest of a number of UBS alumni to join Evercore. In 2013, Nigel Dawn left UBS’s private equity secondaries advisory business for the firm, with Nicolas Lanel and Rodney Reid later joining Evercore’s private capital advisory group from UBS.

Evercore’s private capital advisory group was formed in 2013 and advises institutional investors, financial institutions and fund managers on finding liquidity in portfolios of private assets. The group now has 23 professionals in New York and London.
