Fort Washington seeks investment manager

The Cincinnati-based firm's last secondaries fund was a 2013-vintage, $150m vehicle which acquired stakes in VC, buyout and mezzanine funds.

Fort Washington Capital Partners Group, a Cincinnati-based private equity fund of funds and secondaries manager, is looking for an investment manager.

The firm, which manages $3 billion of capital, is seeking a manager to focus on the sourcing and due diligence of primary and secondaries investments, as well as private equity co-investments, according to a job advert posted on Linkedin.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience in private equity, investment banking, equity research, strategy consulting or corporate development and a talent for developing and managing client relationships.

FW Capital Partners has closed three secondaries funds, the last of which was the 2013-vintage Fort Washington Private Equity Opportunities Fund III, according to PEI data. That fund closed on its $150 million in May 2014.

The vehicle acquires LP stakes of up to $20 million in venture capital, buyout and mezzanine funds. It will also invest in special situations such as fund recapitalisations and end-of-fund-life situations in deals between $5 million and $20 million, Secondaries Investor reported in 2015.

Limited partners in the fund include Cincinnati Retirement System and the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System, according to PEI data.

FW Capital is an affiliate of Fort Washington Investment Advisors, which manages nearly $50 billion across fixed income, public equity and private equity.
