Finland’s Certior hires eQ exec

The private equity and credit firm has hired Olli Heinila, a professional with primary, secondaries and co-investment experience.

Certior Capital, a Helsinki-based private equity and credit firm, has boosted its senior investment team with the appointment of Olli Heinila as an investment director.

Heinila has racked up 20 years of experience in the European private equity and credit markets, investing in primary funds, secondaries and co-investments, according to a statement from Certior.

He was most recently an investment director at fellow Helsinki-based fund manager eQ Asset Management, where he was one of the original members of the private equity team. Prior to that, he had spells at fund managers Amanda Capital, Mandatum Private Equity Funds and Sampo Group.

“He brings with him a very strong investment track record across private equity and private credit and I am sure he will make a great contribution to the business,” said Ari Jauho, chairman and partner at Certior Capital.

Jauho added that the firm is considering additional hires as it looks to build out its private equity and private credit team further.

Formed in 1995, Certior Capital has completed more than 200 primary, secondaries and co-investment deals in private equity and private credit.
