Evercore has hired a Committed Advisors vice-president and Secondaries Investor Young Gun who has both buyside and advisory experience.

David Guryn rejoined the advisory firm’s private capital advisory unit this week, according to two sources familiar with the matter. He had spent a year and a half at Evercore as an associate before joining Committed Advisors in 2015, according to the secondaries firm’s website.

Guryn’s departure from Committed Advisors was amicable, according to a source familiar with the matter.

A spokesman for Evercore confirmed Guryn’s appointment.

Guryn also has experience at Willowridge Partners, UBS and Pantheon where he originated, analysed, structured and executed private equity secondaries deals.

Guryn ranked seventh in the Young Guns of Secondaries Class of 2018 and was described as “one of the most experienced secondaries professionals at his age” by his peers. He has transacted on at least $5.5 billion of deal volume across buy- and sellside, Secondaries Investor reported.

Committed Advisors has at least 13 professionals and is led in Paris by Daniel Benin. It also has offices in New York and Singapore, according to its website.

A spokesman for Committed Advisors declined to comment.
