Advisory Young Gun promoted to partner

Jasmin Capital's Ludovic Douge ranked 17th in the 2019 list of the most promising people in secondaries below the age of 36.

A member of Secondaries Investor‘s Young Guns class, which was renamed Next Gen last year, has been promoted to partner.

Ludovic Douge of Jasmin Capital assumed the title in July, according to his LinkedIn profile. He has been head of secondaries at the Paris-headquartered placement agent and advisor since 2016.

Douge ranked 17th in the 2019 list of the most promising people in secondaries below the age of 36. “I believe he has closed every single deal he brought to the market since joining Jasmin,” said a European buyer at the time.

Paris-based Jasmin advises on small-cap LP stake sales and GP-led deals in the private equity, private debt and infrastructure secondaries markets. It closes around 10 deals a year, Secondaries Investor reported last year.

In March, the firm expanded its secondaries team with the appointment of Yris Deguenon as an associate focused on directs and LP portfolio secondaries.

In a 2018 interview with Secondaries Investor, Douge said that Jasmin had advised on more than 20 deals involving assets held by France-domiciled vehicles designed for retail investors. The traded volume of FIPs and FCPIs was between €300 million and €350 million a year, he said.
