HarbourVest Partners receives commitment from Cathay Life Insurance

The Taiwanese life insurer continues to increase its exposure to the North American region.

Cathay Life Insurance has agreed to commit $50 million to Dover Street X. Of the investors that have committed to the fund so far, the majority are US pension funds.

The fund, managed by HarbourVest Partners, has a target of $6.5 billion and will target secondaries opportunities in sectors across North America.
