TempoCap acquires French directs portfolio

The investment firm bought stakes in 14 French companies including a marketing tech firm and renewable energy investment company.

TempoCap, a primary and secondaries investment firm, has acquired a portfolio of minority interests in French technology companies.

The London-headquartered firm bought stakes in 14 companies from Entrepreneur Venture Gestion, a French investment management company, according to a statement. It is understood the deal was worth between €20 million and €50 million.

TempoCap will invest further in the portfolio to support its growth and will co-manage it with EVG, TempoCap founder and managing partner Olav Ostin told Secondaries Investor.

The portfolio includes marketing technology firm Synthesio, renewable energy investor Aqua, media company What’s Next Partners and online calendar platform Agendize.

Jasmin Capital advised on the deal.

The acquisition brings TempoCap’s total assets to 36 companies, according to the statement.

The firm was founded in 2006 and has €170 million in assets under management. It advises on direct investments in high-growth companies as well as portfolio acquisitions.
