Campbell Lutyens hires Park Hill principal

Fred Han, who has experience at UBS and Greenhill, is joining as a principal based in New York.

Campbell Lutyens has tapped one of its main rivals as it continues to bulk up its US business.

The secondaries advisor and placement agent has appointed New York-based Fred Han as a principal in its global secondaries advisory team, according to a statement.

Han comes to the role from nearly 10 years at Park Hill Group, where he rose to the position of principal, according to his LinkedIn profile. He also has secondaries advisory experience at UBS and Greenhill.

Campbell Lutyens has advised on over $5 billion of transactions for North American LPs and GPs in the past 18 months, according to the statement.

The firm has operated in North America for 15 years, building a presence in the infrastructure asset class. It began a concerted push into the private equity market in mid-2015, chief executive Andrew Sealey told Secondaries Investor in March.

In December it opened an office in Charlotte led by principal Matt Flynn, who joined after 12 years in the private fund group at Credit Suisse. In March it had added Chicago and Los Angeles outposts.

Campbell Lutyens has a team of 140 people across its seven offices, more than 35 of which are in the US.
